According to Stereogum, Legendary hip-hop trio De La Soul are only two weeks away from the release of their upcoming highly anticipated newest studio album The Anonymous Nobody, with four singles off the cowdfunded LP already released to the public, the group has chosen to release another brand new single in order to raise excitement for their forthcoming work.
“Drawn” is a sprawling classical piece of music that opens up in a jazzy, funky piano jam, with artist Little Dragon singing beautifully over the orchestral section in a somewhat angelic manor. As the track continues, it gets to be more soulful and less of a classical symphonic piece, the drum and snare enter with a strong hip-hop rhythm and rappers Posdnous and Dave begin delivering the solid verses that go perfectly over the most soulful section of the track, ending on their own note rather than letting the track melodically fade out,
This new track brings raised excitement for the upcoming new album, which has a huge guest list of artist that shape this album into another work of art by De La Soul.
