LISTEN: The Avalanches Release New Song “Subways”

The Australian electronic music group, The Avalanches, have released a new song “Subways,” from their highly anticipated new album.

“Subways” is just over three and a half minutes long, and features all the great things about The Avalanches’ music. It’s lively and utilizes an interesting melange of instrumentation and sounds to create an incredibly catchy tune.

Initially, the band first teased the “Subways” when they first announced their forthcoming album, and later released two other singles, “Colours” and “Frankie Sinatra,” which feature collaborations with Jonathan Donahue, Danny Brown and MF Doom. However, now the band has released the entire track to “Subways” and can be streamed immediately.

“Subways” comes from their new album Wildflowerwhich is set to be released July 8th, 2016. It’s their first studio album since their debut album, Since I Left You in 2000. Though the band released several EPs and singles over the years, the announcement of a new studio album is still entirely exciting.

The Avalanches formed in 1997 in Melbourne, Australia. The band consists of members Robbie Chater, James Dela Cruz, and Tony Di Blasi.
