Australian electronic group, The Avalanches, have just released their full live audio from their recent live comeback at Primavera Sound, the Barcelona based music festival. Featured in the setlist were some live debuts of their new songs off their upcoming new album Wildflower, including “Frankie Sinatra” and their recent hotline available “Subways”. Much to the delight of fans, the band could not just settle for the already uploaded footage from the show, so they just chose to release the entire hour-long performance onto audio.
The news surfaced after a series of tweets from the band, recounting the reason behind their appearance at Primavera Sound. Apparently the band received alot of help from former XX member, and current self-project, Jamie XX, and wrote that this performance was not an easy accomplishment.
Pulled this together an hour before showtime after visa fuckups nixed our live show plans.Thank fuck we had our vinyl with us.

However, this was not the only good news the band chose to share with their fans today, The Avalanches also premiered their track “Colours” on Beats 1 earlier this afternoon, featuring Mercury Rev’s Jonathan Donahue, to help excite fans even more with new music, and to support the upcoming Wildflower, which is set to arrive to the public on July 8th and will hopefully be accompanied by a grand tour.
