According to Loudwire, Slipknot, who last week released the news to their fans that they will be forced to postpone and reschedule the beginning of their tour, have just announced the new tour dates which the are co-headlining with Marylin Manson. Frontman Corey Taylor is on the mend from his “unplanned spinal surgery” and the new affected tour dates have been released.
At first, the tour was scheduled to begin in Salt Lake City,Utah, on June 9th, ending in Des Moines, Iowa, Slipknot’s hometown, on August 5th. Now, the tour has been pushed later to begin on June 28th in Nashville, TN, and run through August 27th, ending in Austin, TX. The 12 shows that needed to switch dates all remain in the same venue except for the Denver and Las Vegas stops. All fans who bought tickets already will be able to keep their ticket for the rescheduled dates, but those for the Denver and Las Vegas shows will receive full refunds, and will be able to repurchase the tickets to the new venues, with an early buying opportunity due to the inconvenience.
Corey Taylor, frontman for the heavy metal band, forced this postponement due to his necessity to underg,o emergency spinal surgery, after revealing to the public that his neck was basically broken and he did not even know. As of now a disc has been replaced and the procedure on the singer’s vertebrae has been complete, leaving only the time to recover.
For now, all that can be done is wish the singer a speedy recovery, and await with high expectations his return to stage healthy, while joining the great Marylin Manson in tearing the roof of venues with Of Mice and Men opening for them.
