Meghan Trainor @ Bayfront Park Amphitheater 9/16

Meghan Trainor is coming to Bayfront Park on Friday, September 16th. Arguably the biggest popstar of the moment for young girls and women all over America, Meghan is going on tour for the release of her second album which came out on May 13th of this year. Get ready for that bass.

Meghan Trainor has been making waves and gaining a huge amount of popularity ever since her hot single “All About That Bass” came out in 2014. An artist who strives to send a message along with her music, Meghan has been a face for women empowerment and improvement of young girls self esteem. She has released two major albums, “Title” in 2015 and “Thank You” this year. She has fused a retro aesthetic from the 50s into her music and it has worked very well for her with her catchy, and recognizable tunes. Here you can take a look at her video for the lead single off of her second album, “No”.

The show will take place at Bayfront Park’s Klipsch Amphitheater, a great little venue with a good seats and a huge lawn. Meghan will be accompanied by the band Common Kings and singer Hailee Steinfeld who released an EP in 2015. Meghan’s concert should be great for fans of pop. Her message of women taking pride in themselves no matter their flaws and taking control of their own circumstances has been good for girls everywhere and I hope it shines through in her performance.

Henry Ehlebracht: I am an NYU student from Miami who loves writing. I am a dual major in Philosophy and Journalism and I'd love to share my thoughts on music with you. My two favorite music genres are definitely hip hop and electronic/dance, but I'm really open to anything that piques my interest. I'm currently in New York for school. Electronic album reviewer for MXDWN. Although I write about music for the website, my media interests stretch into many areas including movies and video games.
