LISTEN: Flume Releases New Song “Tiny Cities” Featuring Beck

Electronic musician Flume has just released his new single, “Tiny Cities,” featuring the legendary Beck. The track is off his new album, Skins, available everywhere today.

“Tiny Cities” is a dreamy track in which Beck’s soothing vocals perfectly complement Flume’s equally hypnotic soundscapes. It’s no secret that the Grammy-winning Beck is talented, but this track is further proof that he can pull off just about anything when it comes to the blending of musical genres. In an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show, the two men spoke openly about their musical tastes and shared the story of how their collaboration came to be. “We worked with a lot of the same programs, and I started working with computers pretty early on in my career, coming from a singer-songwriter background,” Beck said on the show of his connection to Flume. “We were using Pro Tools … a lot of these programs right when they came out, before what they were able to do was really invented, before people took this technology and created new forms of music out of them.”

Beck is not the only big name on Skins. The album also features collaborations with Vic Mensa, Tove Lo, Raekwon, Vince Staples and many more. Flume is very excited about his sophomore effort, and will soon be heading out on tour to promote the album.
