Well known punk icon Kathleen Henna has done it again. Her newest band formation, The Julie Ruin, has just released a new single entitled “Im Done”, and it’s totally different from their last.
Their last single “I Decide” was released in April this year. However, this past track was more mellow,exhibiting a “I’m Done” features a more upbeat rhythm, accentuated with a sweet-sounding guitar and captivating bass line. Both of these masterpieces come from their album ,Hit Reset, which is set to be released July 8th of this year from Hardly Art Records.
The last piece of music released from The Julie Ruin was “Blueberry Island”, which served as an unreleased track to promote a limited edition vinyl of their album, Run Fast. Like her Bikini Kill to Le Tigre days, Henna has put a substantial amount of work into this album as well, and critics are not hesitating to comment.
