Riot Fest and Carnival sister fest, Riot Fest and Rodeo, has released the official lineup for the festivities this year. Sharing some of the same headliners as its Chicago counterpart such as; the reunion of The Original Misfits, Ween, NAS, Fitz & the Tantrums, and several others, the Denver based alternative, indie, punk rock festival will hold a unique selection of artists that you will not be seeing in Chicago. Featuring exclusive big name bands such as Jane’s Addiction, Wolf Parade, Sleater-Kinney, and Tyler the Creator, this addition will takes place two prior to its Chicago location on September 2nd-4th at the National Western Complex in Denver, Co.
The Denver branch of Riot Fest began only a few years after the Chicago version took off in popularity, and just like its Midwest sibling, the festival took with the motto of diverse booking. Continuing the tradition of programming both festivals in a way that defies homogeneity between festivals, managing to give the fans exactly what they want and but not being the exact same as each other.
Its good to know that both festivals will have the reunion of The Original Misfits, making sure that both fests get the main dish on the table, with plenty of the same side dishes as well. However, Denver will be getting a special performance that the Chicago family will not. Performing their album Ritual De Lo Habitual in its entirety, Jane’s Addiction is looking to make a splash on the Denver Community. Wolf Parade will also exclusively have a performance at Riot Fest and Rodeo for the tens of thousands that will attend the festival.
Whether it be both of them, or just one, it looks like going to either Riot Fest will not do a rock fan wrong.
GA & VIP tickets are now available to purchase.
Update 06/28/2016: Riot fest has just released the final phase of their lineup, and with an already packed lineup, it seem that they have managed to raise the bar even more with these new artists on the bill.

Announced to join the lineup as well is Gogol Bordello, 2 Chainz, DeVotchka, plus several additional heavy hitters that will take the Denver stage by storm.
