Before she became famous for her introspective and beautiful stripped down acoustic solo work, Beth Orton rose to prominence singing on Chemical Brothers tracks 20 years ago.
Her seventh and latest studio album Kidsticks is a return to those electronic roots that gave birth to her career. Orton has shared two tracks off the album, which she co-produced with Andrew Hung of Fuck Buttons, “Moon” and more recently “1973”
Today we got to see the visuals for “1973”, produced by Deborah Johnson. The video is a fun and trippy psychedelic desert adventure that features very simple imagery that is at the same time very fun and perfect for summer. The visuals perfectly match the tracks upbeat tempo coupled with Orton’s angelic voice.
