Jenny Lewis has announced that she will embark on a 10-date tour this September, a continued celebration of the ten year anniversary of her solo debut Rabbit Fur Coat. Joined by The Watson Twins, who are featured on the original release, the tour kicks off September 6 in Minneapolis and concludes on the 22nd in San Francisco.
Earlier this year, Lewis performed seven shows in four cities with The Watson Twins and very special guest M. Ward in support of the release of a deluxe limited edition remastered vinyl of Rabbit Fur Coat.
In addition to the Rabbit Fur Coat tour, Lewis has teamed up with Au Revoir Simone’s Erika Forster and the Like’s Tennessee Thomas to form a new band called Nice as F— (NAF). The trio made their live debut at a Bernie Sanders benefit concert in New York, and will open for M. Ward on his own tour later this month.
Rounding out her busy schedule, Lewis and her solo band will also embark on a short run of dates in August.
Lewis has spent the past few months on tour behind her extremely well received 2014 album The Voyager, which was the L.A.-based singer-songwriter’s first Top 10 album and highest chart debut yet. The Voyager also earned Lewis ‘Best of the Year’ accolades from Rolling Stone, TIME, NPR, Spin, Billboard, The Guardian, American Songwriter, Stereogum, Paste, and many more. Her tracks “She’s Not Me” and “Just One of the Guys” appeared on Top Song lists from The New York Times, Slant, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Pitchfork, among others.
