Composed of memebers; Shirley Manson Scottish musician and playing vocals, keyboards, guitar, as well as American musicians Duke Erikson on the bass, guitar, and keyboards, and Steve Marker on guitar and keys, and lastley Butch Vig on percussions to round out the four, who all take part in the songwriting and production of their music. Creating five studio albums together, with the sixth on its way, the group consistently manages to collaborate in harmony. The upcoming Strange Little Birds LP was recorded and produced, just as in the past, by the entire band, and it was layed down to record in Los Angeles at their in-house studio. It follows their 2012 album Not Your Kind of People which reached 13 on the Billboard 200, and was supported by a huge world tour.
“Empty is just exactly what it says it is. A song about emptiness,”said the band’s Shirley Manson in a press release, explaining her theory on what the new track is about. Even though the track carries the groups classic characteristics, in regards to their musical style, but as Manson state, the song does seem to be about emptiness and no matter the effort put it, there is still emptiness left inside.
To top the new song announcement off, Garage has also announced a string of headlining US live dates that will take them all over the country, if they stop by a city near you it would be advisable to purchase a ticket to see them perform. As the new album continues to be revealed, more announcements from the band will be sure to follow.
