Wolf Parade Announces New EP Tentatively Titled Rocky Horror

Rose tint my world, the band Wolf Parade has announced new EP. The tentative theme? Rocky Horror with a little bit of Queen. The Canadian indie band has announced in their interview to Exclaim, that this new EP marks the end of their five-years hiatus and an entirely new sound.

The title to the new EP is still tentative, meaning it might change as it progresses forward into the band’s music history. Wolf Parade have yet to announce the date of their EP to be released, Rock Horror. But the new material on the EP is bright, fast, funky and flashy like Rocky’s little red speedo in the cult film, Rocky Horror Picture Show. “There’s heavy glam vibe on the new stuff… [one track] kinda reminded me of early Queen and The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack,” said Dan Boeckner to Exclaim. Yet, while they ponder the name and making a new album, the band have announced tour dates in May. Wolf Parade will perform for four days at the Bowery Ballroom in New York and for four days at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, Ontario. During the tour, Wolf Parade will perform at the Ottawa Bluesfest July 16. The tour will end August 27 at the FYF festival in Los Angeles.

During the band’s hiatus, members Boeckner and Krug worked on different projects. Boeckner formed two project bands, Operator and Divine Fits. Krug worked on music under the name Moonface.
