Pemberton Music Festival, the three day extravaganza taking place July 14-17, in Pemberton, British Columbia, has just released it’s lineup.
The festival, which will take place near the foot of the majestic Mt. Currie, and features headlining acts from the likes of Pearl Jam, J. Cole, Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, Wiz Khalifa, Ice Cube, Halsey and FKA Twigs.
“We are incredibly excited to announce the lineup for 2016,” said A.J. Niland, Chairman and CXO of Pemberton organizers’ Huka Entertainment in a statement. “The lineup carries on our tradition of diversity and depth so there is something for everyone. We have been working hard making improvements and expanding the experience – more space, better camping, more art, and bigger production. We can’t wait to welcome the best artists and the best fans to the most beautiful festival in North America.”
The diversity and depth that Niland talks about is very clear when looking over the lineup. Modern rap artists like Rae Sremmurd are accompanied by classic old heads like Snoop Dogg. 90’s grunge rockers Pearl Jam share the same bill as modern shoegazers Diiv. The bill also prominently features electronic acts like Bauuer and Hudson Mohawke.
On top of the music the festival also is showcasing live comedy. The “Pemby Comedy” portion of the lineup features acts like Cheech and Chong, Nick Swardson and Beth Stelling.
Early bird tickets sold out in advance of the lineup announcement. A limited supply of Advance General Admission tickets will be available this Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. PT via the festival’s website.
