Graspop Metal Meeting has announced the lineup for the 2016 event. This year’s event is sure to be an exciting one, with notable headliners such as English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, American thrash metal band Slayer, and English heavy metal legends Iron Maiden.
Graspop Metal Meeting is an annual music festival held in Dessel, Belgium that brings in massive crowds and focuses primarily on metal music. It is held at De Stenehei Park, and adjacent to the festival is Metal Town, a camping facility. This year, the music festival will be held on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of June, 2016.
Tickets for the event start at 95 euros for a single day pass, and 195 euros for a Combi pass which gives access to the festival for the 16th through the 19th of June, 2016. Graspop Metal Meeting began in 1996, with just a handful of bands. Since then, the festival has expanded largely, and continues to pull in famous international acts and draw in crowds from all over the world. At first, the music festival didn’t specialize in any specific type of rock music, but eventually changed to focus on the best of metal rock.
Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Slayer, among many more, return to the main stage to put on an incredible performance. In fact, Iron Maid was one of the first performers at the original event in 1996 and has performed at the festival more times than any other band.
