Birmingham natives The English Beat will be performing at The Roxy on April 15 in support of its latest album “Here We Go Love” released last month. The album is the band’s fourth effort after having releasing three albums all in the 80s. The new wave post-punk sound sounds fresher than ever and will definitely bring in a new generation of English Beat fans who will no doubt go back and listen to the classics.
The band has had numerous lineup changes and has toured with well-known artists, including David Bowie, The Clash, The Police, The Pretenders, R.E.M., The Specials and Talking Heads. Throughout the years The English Beat have continued to sing about race and problems we all face and have donated profits to help organizations along the way. Be part of the good natured-band and have a good time at the same time – only at The Roxy next month!
