Just announced through Rolling Stone and Pitchfork magazines, American rock band Eagles of Death Metal have released their official tour dates for their upcoming months, and from the looks of the locations it seems that with stops throughout Europe, as well as North America, they will be making this a full international tour with plenty of regular shows and festival performances that is planned in their schedule.
The band’s full spring and summer trek is in support of their recent album Zipper Down and will be kickstarting the leg of their trip in Vancouver, BC. After a ten show run in Canada the group will return to the US to start the next set of tour dates across the nation, beginning in Burlington, VT and continuing on to other states, performing at festivals such as Sweetlife in Maryland and Shakey Knees Fest in Georgia, as well as Governor’s Ball in New York City, the tour is ripe with incredible opportunity to see the band. Once they finish their US section of their tour at the Lost Highway Festival in San Bernadino, CA, the rock troupe will be getting their passports ready again for their trip around Europe and the Middle East, where the band intends to hit 22 shows in 32 days, making stops in Germany, Poland, Denmark, Spain, and even Israel. They will end their tour with a grand show in Lisbon, Portugal with a show at the Coliseu dos Recreios.
Eagles of Death Metal is most recently known as the the band who last played at the Bataclan Cafe in Paris, France, before the tragic terror attack that occurred in November of 2015. The band was just getting into their set at the famous venue when all of a sudden three gunman opened fire onto the unsuspecting concert goers, killing nearly 90 people and injuring so many more. EODM are looking to wipe that big smudge off of their history record and come back with a positive force that tells fans “WE WILL NOT BE STOPPED”, they have even booked to play a show in Paris for Rock en Seine late August, and will most certainly provide a very memorable performance.
Eagles of Death Metal have a large fan base that spans all over the globe, they intend to provide incredible experiences for all of them as they embark on this enormous tour.
