Just announced via Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan, indie hip-hop artist Aesop Rock has released the dates and locations for his upcoming 2016 Spring/Summer tour. With shows happening all over the United States, starting in the West and ending in the West, the rapper is looking to sweep the nation with mind blowing performances in some of the countries most iconic venues. This tour is in support of his upcoming new album The Impossible Kid that will be released April 29th.
The news of this upcoming tour started from Aesop Rock’s videos of him sitting down with a cartoon bear therapist in weekly sessions. In last week’s video, the rapper sat with “Dr. Izzo the Bear” for a session where they discussed his family and friends thinking he is insane, and called all musicians “sociopaths”, also in the video Aesop receives advice from Moon Spirit the Deer. After all the shenanigans of the video there is a announcement that accompanies the end which gives the upcoming tour dates running through July. Starting off in Washington State and moving down the West Coast until Solana Beach, and then back up moving Northeast from Colorado, to Chicago, and continuing on all the way East moving more and more South. They finish their tour off in Texas, at the Trees venue in Dallas, ending their 39 show tour.
The hip-hop artist will be accompanied by his friend Homboy Sandman throughout the tour, fans all over the country can look forward to hearing his fresh beats live at a venue near them
