Hip-hop rapper Waka Flocka Flame will be performing at L.A. LIVE’s Club Nokia, which is now officially called The Novo, on March 11. Waka Flocka came to fame with his breakthrough single “O Let’s Do It” in 2009 and is currently working on his upcoming album titled “Flockaveli 2,” a sequel to his debut album in 2010. Waka Flocka’s sold out performance at The Novo will be the first show in the newly named venue. The Novo takes its name from Latin, meaning “to make anew, renovate, renew, refresh.” Although the name is new, Goldenvoice’s Jeff Shuman promises The Novo will provide continued energy and excitement in the heart of Los Angeles. The venue has hosted over 250,000 fans annually since its opening in 2008. The venue is exclusively booked by Goldenvoice and has hosted the likes of Drake, Prince, Beck, QOTSA, Coldplay and more. New refurbishment and renovations will be done to the venue this year, including upgrades to the venue sight lines, lobby area, venue signage and bar upgrades.
