Zhu, the anonymous DJ who has been making waves with hit track after hit track, has just announced an upcoming tour that will hit our area this May. The Neon City Tour will make its way to The Electric Factory on May 14th. Tickets for this one are on sale now, so grab yours while you still can!
To announce the upcoming headlining tour, Zhu staged a prank call to a ticket scalper. The call ended with a preview to his new track, “In the Morning,” which has since been released in full. The Grammy-nominated artists has somehow managed to maintain a level of mystery around his persona, despite the huge success of his Genesis Series project last year. His debut album, Generation Why, is expected to drop this summer and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. But it’s not just his music that has put him on the map. Zhu’s stage shows are out of this world, and his upcoming tour promises to feature brand-new visual productions.
Adding to the excitement of Zhu’s tour announcement comes word that he’ll be bringing along rising R&B sensation, and fellow Mind of a Genius artist, Gallant. (The label also boasts THEY. and Klangstof). His highly-anticipated debut album is expected to arrive in April. Together, Gallant and Zhu are two of the most buzzed about new acts which makes their May show in Philly an absolute must-see.
