A new collaboration with Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon and Alex Knost of Tomorrow’s Tulips, entitled Glitterbust, have announced the release of their first album. Their self-titled album, Glitterbust, is set to be released on March 4.
They’ve released a track off the album called, “The Highline,” which can be heard below.
This project marks Gordon’s first release since 2013 when she released Coming Apart. “However, the bassist did collaborate with Peaches and J. Mascis and published her memoir Girl in a Band in 2015,” according to Rolling Stone.
“I was like, I want to write a book like Bob Dylan’s Chronicles and just make stuff up,” Gordon told Rolling Stone of her book. “I decided not to try and research and include everything. I didn’t wanna overthink what I was gonna do. I know someone will one day write a good Sonic Youth book, but at the outset I said, ‘This is not that.'”
