Ray LaMontagne @ Festival Pier 6/18

This summer is shaping up to be one of the best yet for Philly music fans. And today we’re adding another show to the list. You’ll definitely want to head down to Festival Pier this June to catch Ray LaMontagne serenade the crowd.

On March 4th , La Montagne will release his sixth studio album, Ouroboros. You may have already had a chance to check out the album’s first single, “Hey, No Pressure.” If not, take a listen below. The album was produced with help from Jim James (of My Morning Jacket).  And according to LaMontagne, the album is unlike anything he has ever released. He says, “The album is merely an attempt to recreate, from memory, the landscapes, the colors, the sights and sounds that were experienced.”

And starting June 10th, LaMontagne will be headed out on tour in support of the release. He’ll kick things off in Ohio, and make his way to Philly a few days later for his show at Festival Pier on June 18th. And is there a better setting than Festival Pier for Ray LaMontagne’s vocals? With your toes in the sand, and the wind in your hair, you’re guaranteed to have a great Saturday evening. Ray LaMontagne will also make a few festival stops this summer, including appearances at Newport Folk Festival and WayHome.
