Flight of the Conchords will perform their first show this year in Newport, Rhode Island. The New Zealand duo will be performing at the Newport Festival this summer since they performed in the United States three years ago. Flight of the Conchords will be playing at the festival along side musicians: Father John Misty, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Ray Lamontagne featuring backup Jim James from My Morning Jacket, The Oh Hellos, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
Flight of the Conchords have been working on making a comeback from their performance at the Funny or Die Oddball Festival back in 2013 with a new tour and upcoming film. The band has yet to announce a full tour for this year, but their comedic show at the Newport Folk Festival this July 22 will be enough to help the duo plan any further upcoming performances in the United States. Further updates about that festival will be announced when more information will be coming in about the music lineup and other events that will happen over the course of the oncoming weeks. Newport’s Festival would definitely be reaching the limit of how much it can cover within a wide range of acts and musicians that are vast in their genres and diverse in their music. Hopefully Flight of the Conchords will take the cake.
