Melody’s Echo Chamber will be performing at Pappy and Harriet’s on April 20 as part of the upcoming Coachella Sideshows taking place during the Coachella weeks in the greater Los Angeles area. Melody’s Echo Chamber is the solo project of Paris-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Melody Prochet. The first MEC album, produced by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, was released in 2012 to critical acclaim. The resulting sound from Melody’s Echo Chamber is psychedelic in nature and profound in meaning.
Prochet cited influences as Erik Satie, Can, and Stereolab for the record’s dream pop sound. The debut and so far only album was released in 2012, with a tour that followed until 2013 in high profile festival slots such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Primavera Sound, and Glastonbury.
