With the return of G.O.O.D. Fridays and the upcoming album release, Kanye West has all eyes of the music industry on him. Today, West released a new single that will now appear on the album’s tracklist, “30 Hours”. In addition to the new releases, West defended his lyric in his single “Famous” concerning Taylor Swift.
“30 Hours” samples Arthur Russell’s World of Echo “Answers Me”. The single revolves around West reminiscing about a 30-hour journey to visit a woman. “You had me driving far enough to switch the time zones / You were the best of all time at the time though,” West says. “You wasn’t mine though / But I still drove 30 hours.”
West said “30 Hours” was last minute addition to The Life of Pablo. Sources say, The album originally included 10 tracks and since then has grown to 17. West changed the tracklist of The Life of Pablo yet again—now including “30 Hours”, “No More Parties In LA”, “Silver Surfer Intermission”, “I Miss The Old Kanye”, and a new version of “Facts”. West announced that the album will be available today, despite the fact that it is still being mastered.
