According to Consequencesofsound, the popular rock festival, occurring on July 14th through the 16th, has officially released its small but hefty lineup of artist, and the bill seems to cater to more than just your average rock fans but rather has chosen to again diversify the roster with performers like Kendrick Lamar, Jamie XX. Bloc Party and several others that will tickle people’s fancy.
They say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, there may be no summer event that describes this better in Portugal than Super Bock Super Rock Music Festival, which is named after its primary sponsor Super Bock beer. This 3-day celebration is returning again to its home country for an extravaganza that will sure to be as popular and enjoyable as previous years.
This festival has changed location many times since its inception, but always remained in its original country. With over 10 location changes since its birth, SBSR can not seem to find a permanent resting ground, but this has not stopped the sponsors from bringing back the festivities year after year. This year is going to be no different, coming to the shores of Parque das Nações, in the Lisbon district, attendees will be able to see some of their favorite artist perform right off the blue waters of Portugal for their adoring fans while watching the sun set on the horizon.
Since the festival’s foundation many famous artist from the rock spectrum have performed for the multi-stage audiences, from musicians like the late David Bowie in its beginnings and continuing on with ZZ top, Linkin Park, Beck, and Duran Duran, SBSR has never been short of breathtaking shows and always trying to introduce other genres into their mix.
