Euphoria has announced their lineup for this year’s festival, and they’ve got some big names playing, including but not limited to Bassnectar, Dillon Francis, and Tycho. The festival will take place in Austin, Texas at the Carson Creek Ranch from April 7-10, and tickets are available now.
American DJ and recorder producer Bassnectar is famous for his live performances, particularly the light shows that happen during them and the community engagement they produce. He is known for playing at various festivals, including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Coachella, and finished 4th place in American’s Best DJ Competition in 2013. Bassnectar is also well-known for his performances on New Year’s Eve, always putting on a particularly big show for his fans to bring in the new year with a bang. He openly advocates for many different causes in the media today, and he engages with fans easily – his fanbase calls themselves “Bass Heads.” In June of last year, Bassnectar released his eleventh studio album Into the Sun, which received good reviews from critics. There’s a good review of it here.
Dillon Francis, another American DJ, has slowly started to gain fame after he released his single “Get Low” with DJ Snake in 2014. The song is an epic club mix, perfect for getting the crowd pumped during the buildup of the song, and perfect for making the crowd go nuts when the beat drops. Later that year, he released his debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule, which featured collaborations from many well-known artists including Major Lazer, Twister, and DJ Snake. The album reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Tycho, the American ambient musician, is known for his vintage-style synthesizers and ambient melodies in his music creations. His music style is organic in a way, incorporating clips of the human experience into his songs (such as people talking, weather broadcasts, etc). His music has the feel of the 1970s sound, but also incorporates a progressive and futuristic sound with it. Tycho’s last album, Awake, was released in 2014, and he later released an album full of remixes of it called Awake Remixes. He is also set to release a new album this year, though the release date and album title are currently unknown.
