London-based, post-punk, revival rock band Savages will be performing at the El Rey Theatre on April 18. The four-piece, noise rock group recently released its second album “Adore Life” last month after they made a splash with their debut album “Silence Yourself” in 2013.
The band consists of Jehnny Beth (vocals, previously part of the French indie rock duo John & Jehn), Gemma Thompson (guitar), Ayse Hassan (bass), abd Fay Milton (drums). They have been getting much recognition for bringing emotion and physicality to their songs, in an attempt to make their listeners live their lives in a new, exciting way.
The performance is a part of the Coachella Sideshows for this year. Coachella will be rocking from April 15 to 17 and April 22 to 24 and many bands performing at the festival will play sideshows in venues throughout Los Angeles.
