The Dwarves and The Queers will be performing at The Roxy Theatre on March 16 with special guests Pu$$y-Cow and Sidekick. The Dwarves will be joined by Nick Oliveri (ex Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss) on bass. Fans will know The Dwarves as the one of a kind teen garage band from Chicago that moved in a hardcore direction before going into a punk rock sound that featured radical lyrics. They released its first album in 1986 titled “Horror Stories” and have featured numerous lineup changes throughout the years.
The Queers are a pop punk band from New Hampshire, forming in 1982. Singer/Guitarist Joe King has been the principal member of the group, has made it clear that The Queers exist simply to play punk rock for the fun of it. The Queers play a Ramones/The Beach Boys style of pop punk with songs about girls and beer.
For anyone looking to have a rocking punk-infused night, be sure to be at The Roxy in March!
