Iggy Pop And Josh Homme Announce A Performance At SXSW

Iggy Pop and Josh Homme have just announced a tour that will begin in late March in support of their new collaborative album, Post Pop Depression.

A lot of news has been buzzing around Iggy Pop and Josh Homme’s secretly recorded new collaborative album. With television performance on The Late Show and the release of two singles, “Gardenia” and “Break Into Your Heart,” the duo is finally ready to announce an extensive tour in support of Post Pop Depression. The tour is reported to begin sometime in late March of this year. However, according to Paste Magazine, there is a rumor that the tour could get started a little earlier than that.

On March 16 the duo, accompanied by Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys, will play a show at the Moody Theater. The show will then be a part of the Austin City Limits Live event by BMI and SAG-AFTRA. The actual release of Post Pop Depression will be two days after the show on Mar 16. Tickets for the show are not available online but there is an opportunity to score tickets by registering to attend SXSW and getting priority access. For a full list of tour dates see below.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
