EDM DJ/Producing outfit, Bassnectar just unveiled plans for this year’s Bass Center lineup, featuring hard-hitters: Wu-Tang Clan, Flying Lotus, Flux Pavilion, Lupe Fiasco, the maestro himself: Bassnectar, and more.
Considering the fact Bass Center was originally intended to serve as a series of special regional gatherings, it’s quite extraordinary what the event has now become. Once a central focal-point for the EDM-guru, Bassnectar (one-man show, Lorin Ashton) and the flagship of his tours, Bass Center 2016 has now developed into an annual weekend extravaganza. Returning to its roots in Colorado, the event showcases expansive lineups (including: two-extended Bassnectar sets), exhilarating production standards, and an entire crew of special-fx and extras throughout the course of the weekend.
Having first began in 2010, the fest now houses camping villages conveniently located just outside the primary stadium. These camping villages provide on-site pirate radio facilities, curated food trucks, and those are only a few of the features offered. First presented through a brilliant-marketing scheme via two limited-releases of Bassnectar Chocolate bars, hidden inside five of the bars at random were Golden Tickets. The Golden Tickets provided access to 2-VIP full-weekend passes, including camping festivities and the like.
Ticket pre-sales are slated to be made available this coming Wednesday, January 13th at 10am MT. General-sale tickets to the event begin this Friday, January 15th at 10am MT. General Admission Tickets will be offered for both single-day or full-weekend passes for either Field or Stand seating. The event is slated to jumpstart on: Friday, July 29-Saturday, July 30th at DSG Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
Update: The ticket pre-sales for Bass Center scored a record-breaking round of success today (Jan. 13) when it was reported they sold-out completely within one-minute’s time.
