The Used will be celebrating its 15th year with a two show stop along its tour at Club Nokia on May 27 and 28. In addition to the upcoming tour, The Used has announced Live and Acoustic at The Palace, a live CD/DVD, set to release April 1. About Live and Acoustic at The Palace, lead singer Bert McCracken shared, “I think we really captured the night perfectly and listening back to the mixes it reminded me how music can allow us to be children once again and once you open yourself up to that emotion it’s like a virus, it’s contagious.”
The Utah-native r band has achieved gold and platinum statuses in many countries worldwide and has often been called emo and screamo. However, bassist Jeph Howard has stated: “We just don’t consider ourselves ’emo’ or ‘screamo’ and we never have. We’re a rock band that’s all we’ve ever been.” Despite what they may be classified as, The Used is best known for putting on high energy live shows that have made an impression on fans all across the world.
