Singer songwriter Vanessa Carlton will be performing at the Roxy Theatre on January 21 to promote her fifth album “Liberman” released in October. She first rose to fame when her debut single, “A Thousand Miles”, reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2002. Her debut album, Be Not Nobody, followed and received a platinum certification in the United States.
Carlton said she wanted to her latest album to “feel like an escape type of album, where you put it on and you feel like you’re in this dreamy state.” The result was an album feeling much more atmospheric, showing her evolution as an artist to change her sound. This year Carlton also released an EP Blue Pools which are included in the deluxe set of her latest album.
