Forecastle Festival Announces 2016 Lineup Featuring The Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes And Ryan Adams

Back for its 14th-year-in-rotation, Forecastle Festival just revealed its initial lineup of performing artists to take the stage-event to the next level. Scheduled to take place July 15-17 at Louisville, KY’s award-winning Waterfront Park, the festival will showcase: Americana mainstays The Avett Brothers, Southern-luminaries Alabama Shakes, indie-folk-guru Ryan Adams, and alt-rock-outfit Death Cab for Cutie, and a whole slew of other talents this coming summer.

Set on an expansive 85-acres of green space-against the banks of the Ohio River, Forecastle originally started-out as a low-scale, community event helmed by JK McKnight at Tyler Park.  Now seeing an attendance rate of over 75,000, the gathering has developed into a renowned national attraction that enlists the gifts of: prominent touring acts, outdoor industry partners, influential speakers, and national art collectives.

Calling to task other such performers, Ben Harper will take the stage as he reunites with his long-time band, The Innocent Criminals in an effort to shop their first album of stark, new material in eight years, Call It What It Is, scheduled to drop April 8, 2016.

Also slated for appearance are as follows: Grouplove, Brandi Carlile, Gary Clark Jr., Dr. Dog, Big Gigantic, Glass Animals, and various others.

Now made available through ForecastleFest.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, weekend passes, VIP experiences, and payment-plan options can be procured.
