The first-wave of artists to play Savannah, GA’s very own: Savannah Stopover Music Festival was just released today courtesy of MusicFile Productions, LLC. Set to sound-off this coming March 10-12, the indie-music staple’s 6th-annual outing will feature the very-gifted talents of big-ticket items: Ra Ra Riot, Yuck, and favorites from Athens, GA: Futurebirds, who will be showcasing their very first appearance at the event.
Playing host to a multitude of “up-and-coming” genres, the live-music extravaganza will see an upward amount of more than 40-bands from across the globe join forces with locally-seasoned acts to provide Savannah’s Historic District with another memorable experience to archive.
While such recurring-mainstays: Big UPS, Hiss Golden Messenger, and New Madrid have been confirmed in the initial lineup announcement, a second and final wave of artists will be released this coming January.
Tickets for the event go on sale today at 11am as part of an “early-bird” special, including three-day advance passes priced at $65 and VIP Passes slated at $125 each.
Founder and CEO of MusicFile Productions, Kayne Lanahan details his enthusiasm for the festival:
“We’re very excited about this initial list of confirmed bands. Whether it’s established acts like Ra Ra Riot and Yuck, both of whom will have fantastic new records coming out but have never played the market, or rising stars like NoBS! Brass Band from Richmond or Diet Cig from New Paltz, NY, the talent is just incredible.”
Lanahan continues:
“some of these bands like Mass Gothic and Mothers have debut albums that won’t be out until just before the festival so Savannah gets to be among the first to really help set these 2016 music trends!”
