Neurosis’ Scott Kelly And Yakuza’s Bruce Lamont Announce Fall 2015 Tour Dates Featuring Performances Of Solo Projects And Corrections House Songs

Neurosis‘ Scot Kelly and Yakuza’s Bruce Lamont announced several, special November US tour dates. Starting November 10 in Detroit, Michigan and ending November 21 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kelly and Lamont will visit 11 cities. In addition to performing songs from Corrections House, the duo will perform material from their own solo projects.
Scott Kelly’s performance will be filled with his signature gentle acoustics, odes of pain, memories, and redemption from his solo albums like Spirit Bound Flesh, The Wake, and The Forgiven Ghost In Me. His performances are transparent – a spotlight, a man, and a guitar. Audiences will be captivated by Kelly’s honesty and inspired by his simplicity. Bruce Lamont will be performing tracks from his debut 2011 solo album Feral Songs For The Epic Decline in addition to some unreleased material. Both Kelly and Lamont exhibit similar styles. However, Lamont will bring multiple instruments, an impressive layered looping system and wide range of vocal styles. The slight contrast between both artists will enhance the performances. After both Kelly and Lamont perform their respective sets, both will unite to create magical renditions of various Corrections House hymns.
Correction House includes Scott Kelly, Bruce Lamont, Buried At Seas’s Sanford Parker, Eyehategod‘s Mike IX Williams, and Seward Fairbury. Corrections House released their sophomore full-length, Know How To Carry A Whiptoday via Neurot Recordings. Know How To Carry A Whip is flush with relatable experiences of longing and loneliness. The album radiates discomfort, danger, paranoia and inevitable defeat. “The music is simultaneously suffocating and freeing,” says Kelly, “but it also has the energy of a whirling dervish.”
