The Flaming Lips and Miley Cyrus have finally announced the tour dates to their Fall 2015 Dead Petz Tour.

Miley Cyrus and the Flaming Lips have announced the addition of Dan Deacon to their 2015 Dead Petz tour as their opening act. The addition further strengthens the indie and unique acts that Cyrus is trying to place around her.
Ticket information and Tour Dates can be found below.

Deacon, who is already on a tour of his own, has this to say about his new addition to their tour:

“I felt like I was in the ‘Phantom Tollbooth’ when the offer to open the Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz tour came in, but I have a pretty weird life and tend to end up in really bizarre situations that I never in a million years would have pictured. I think it’s safe to say without any doubt that the experience of touring with Miley and the Flaming Lips will be one of the most reality-curving events of my career thus far. Mostly I’m really looking forward to introducing my music and performance to her fans and to watch this show unfold each night.”

The initial announce of the Dead Petz Tour came from Cyrus during an interview on the Jimmy Fallon Show and was accompanied by a performance on SNL to kick off the tour. The tour will be in support of her latest album, Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz. The Flaming Lips are the backing band for Cyrus on the album and on the tour. The Tour will officially kick off in Chicago on Nov. 19 and continue on to Detroit, Washington, New York, Philadelphia and Boston. Tickets will go on sale Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. ET.

Ryan Fricke: Music is my therapy, which I could not function without. I am currently finishing my senior year a Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida with a Journalism major and a Creative Writing Minor. I first realized I wanted to become a Music Journalist the minute I learned that I could get paid to do the two things I love most, writing and listening to music. I have yet to decide which I am more infatuated with but for the time being I will happily house them to their stalemate. My plans after graduation are unclear but I hope to further gain experience in this profession.
