A Tribe Called Quest has announced the release of a 25th anniversary edition of their debut album, Peoples’ Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.
The group has collaborated with Sony Legacy for the upcoming release, which is set for Nov. 13.
A Tribe Called Quest originally released Peoples’ Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm in 1990, on which the group addressed social issues over a fusion of jazz and ‘70s rock.
Now, the anniversary release will be re-mastered from the original by Grammy-winning engineer Bob Power. The new album will also contain new, exclusive remixes by current big name hip-hop artists who have been greatly influenced by ATCQ. Specific names have not yet been mentioned.
Remixes will be announced within the upcoming weeks.
This special edition of Peoples’ Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm marks the beginning of a series of new re-releases by A Tribe Called Quest. You can pre-order the album here.
