Allen Stone @ TLA 11/12

Ones to Watch presents an upcoming fall tour with soul-pop star Allen Stone. He’ll kick things off in October in Dallas, TX. Eventually Stone will make his way to Philly for a gig at the TLA on November 12th.

Allen Stone describes himself as a “hippie with soul.” He draws inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, James Morrison, and Marvin Gaye. In 2010 and 2011, Stone self-released two records, Last to Speak and Allen Stone, respectively. Finally, late in 2011, after several years of touring, his career began to take off. Allen Stone went to number 2 on the iTunes charts, also peaking high on Billboard. Following that, Allen Stone appeared on everyone’s must-listen to lists, making several late night appearances. And then in May of this year, he released Radius, which features the already popular tracks “Freedom” and “Upside.”

The show will feature support from Bernhoft, a Norwegian performer who released his first solo album in September of 2008. Then in December of last year, Bernhoft was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. In the 20-year history of the category, he was the first non-American artist to receive a nomination. The two performers combined make this a must-see show this fall. Grab your tickets now and mark November 12th on your calendar!
