Alternative rock group Mercury Rev have released their new video for their song “Are You Ready?”
The track, which Stereogum referred to as “a dense, psychedelic odyssey,” will be released as the band’s next single off their upcoming album, The Light in You.
The Light in You marks two firsts for Mercury Rev, serving as both the group’s debut release under Bella Union, as well as the first project with only two members in charge. Because of scheduling conflicts, guitarists Jonathan Donahue and Grasshopper Mackowiak were at the controls.
The video for “Are You Ready?,” directed by Bella Union-collaborator Alex Southam, blurs the divide between fantasy and reality. The plot follows a woman’s neon dreams as she drifts between being sound in reality and being lost in the music.

Mercury Rev have also announced they will begin touring the U.S. on Sept. 10 in South Burlington, Vt. and finish on Oct. 15 in Washington, D.C.
