The one and only AC/DC will be performing at Dodger Stadium on September 28. The band is one of the most influential hard rock acts to come out from the 70s, spawning countless imitators for decades to come. The group’s latest album Rock or Bust was released last year and has already been certified Gold by the RIAA.
Rock or Bust is the band’s first album without founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young, who left the band in 2014 for health reasons. Malcolm’s departure was later clarified by the band and their management, saying that he was officially diagnosed with dementia and will possibly never play again. While Malcolm has writing credits for every track on the album, all of his guitar parts were recorded by his nephew Stevie Young. Malcolm does not appear on the album as a performer.
AC/DC’s best known for their work on Back in Black, released in 1980. The album has been certified as double Diamond (20 million) in US sales, and by 2007 the album had sold 22 million copies, making it the fifth-best-selling album of all-time in the US. It is currently the second-best-selling album worldwide.
