Los Angeles hometown electro rockers AWOLnation will be performing at the Fox Theatre in Pomona on October 30 following the release of their 2015 album Run. The album was performed and produced entirely by Aaron Bruno, resulting in a finely tuned musical adventure. The first two singles from the album are “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)” and the anthemic “I Am.”
The musical project was created by Bruno, and the group’s first big hit was “Sail” in 2011, released on their first studio album. The song peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100, #4 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart, and #5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The song was the second longest charting song in the Billboard Hot 100’s 55-year history, and has been certified 6× platinum by the RIAA and has sold 5,500,000 copies in the United States.
With AWOLnation, Bruno built a creative free-for-all allowing him to mix genres as he wanted. He blends live instrumentation and electronic elements into a hybrid drawing from pop music. To experience AWOLnation live, check them out at the Fox Theatre Pomona in October.
