Ratatat @ ACL Live 9/23

Ratatat is an electronic/instrumental duo based in Brooklyn, New York. This strong act consists of Mike Stroud and producer Evan Mast who use bass, guitar, synthesizers, and percussion in their performances. Both artists have worked on their own projects, but have combined talent to create their outstanding duo.

What began as making music at home led to their self-titled album release in 2004. Since then, the two have toured with artists such as Daft Punk, Vampire Weekend, and The Killers. They were also featured in Kid Cudi’s Platinum song, “Pursuit of Happiness.” Ratatat has toured across the United States with limited stops, debuting new songs at shows such as Coachella. They later released their record, Magnifique, in July with album art made by Mast and Stroud.

Today, Ratatat believes they are at the best point in their career in terms of the music they have created. “I feel like it’s our strongest record,” Mast says on the new album. With sonic experimentation and the use of different instruments, Ratatat’s sound has built a large fanbase over the years. They will continue touring through-out the year with face-melting stages and stunning visuals in their show production.
