Awolnation is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. They began when vocalist Aaron Bruno was given an opportunity to work with Red Bull Records. He wrote songs for himself with guidance from either family or other respected artists. Soon, the band of five was formed and released their first album, Megalithic Symphony, in 2010.
The band’s most notable hit, “Sail,” placed as #4 on the Billboard Rock Songs chart and has reached Platinum in the US. The song was featured on a variety of TV shows and later, throughout the Olympics. Awolnation has released a total of three EPs and will make their biggest appearance this year at Reading Festival in England.
Their latest album, Run, was released in March of 2015. One of the singles, “Hollow Moon,” topped the Alternative Songs chart early in the year. With the positive reviews and strong vocals, the band has created a worldwide fanbase in their special mix of alternative, indie, and hardcore rock.
