THEESatisfaction just released the official video for their title track “EarthEE” featuring Shabazz Palaces off of their 2nd hit album. Their newest visual for their groundbreaking track was directed by Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes who calls the video “a short visual meditation on the textile traditions of home, sacred Geo Metrics, theta based communication and the whirling dervish. A sonically driven work of ancient Afro continuum …” The video takes to the group to the next level, alongside their peers on the label including Porter Ray and Ishmael Butler of Shabazz Palaces.
THEESatisfaction’s tour backing their newest album will resume on July 21st in Spain. Pitchfork recently included EarthEE in their “Overlooked Records 2015” and admitted “their second album id alluringly cosmic, no doubt, but their neo-soul has more resonance given its powerful sociopolitical critique… unbound by genre or modes of thinking, EarthEE keeps tugging at the shapes of music and minds to come.”
