Ariel Pink and The Mynabirds will be performing at the Santa Monica Pier on August 20 as part of the Summer Nights presented by KCRW. The shows are all-ages and open to the public for free. The concert series has reached hundreds of thousands of music fans over the years. The series also gives KCRW DJs a chance to bring their musical tastes out of our basement studios and into the community.
Ariel Marcus Rosenberg better known by his stage name Ariel Pink, is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer based in Los Angeles, California. He is known for his musical eclecticism, influenced by 1980s cassette culture. The Mynabirds toured extensively in the US and Canada in 2010 and 2012 around the release of their albums, headlining and also opening for Bright Eyes, AC Newman and others. In between, vocalist Burhenn also toured globally as a member of Bright Eyes (2011) and The Postal Service (2013).
