Starfucker (also abbreviated as STRFKR) is an electronic band from Portland, Oregon. What began as a solo act in 2007 later became a band consisting of highly talented members. The name, originally a joke, soon caught the attention of music lovers and led to rapid success for the group. With songs featured in films such as The Fault In Our Stars and 21 & Over, Starfucker’s coverage has climbed to reach an international fanbase.
Their latest album, Miracle Mile, contains the hit songs “Say to You” and “Leave It All Behind.” The record reached the Billboard 200 chart and placed as #4 on the Top Heatseekers Albums. In the mix of guitars to an electronic sound, the band’s live performances are described to be thrilling and energetic. Starfucker then faced new heights as they were invited to play Coachella Music Festival in 2014.
With a risky name too naughty for most commercial publications, the band has reached their own breakthrough without the help of major public appearances. Audiences can expect to be surprised by the aliens, astronauts, streamer guns, inflatable rafts, and other crazy props the group brings to their shows. Starfucker will begin touring later in the summer with Shy Boys as support.
