Belinda Carlisle will be performing at the Fonda Theatre on September 11. Carlisle is most famous as the lead vocalist of The Go-Go’s, one of the most successful all-female bands of all time. The group sold more than seven million albums in just three years and she later went on to have a successful solo career.
Her most famous hits include “Mad About You”, “I Get Weak”, “Circle in the Sand”, “Leave a Light On” and “Heaven Is a Place on Earth.” Aside from music, Carlisle has also written an autobiography titled Lips Sealed, published in June 2010. It was a New York Times Best Seller. Also on August 11, 2011, she received, as a member of the Go-Go’s, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Currently, she is working on a new album (currently untitled) which is scheduled to be released in 2016. Carlisle has had a storied career but it’s not over yet.
