Bleachers & Charli XCX w/ Robert DeLong @ Festival Pier 9/18

When Bleachers and Charli XCX first announced the list of dates for their upcoming co-headlining tour, there were several cities who seemingly didn’t make the cut. Philly was one of them. But fans of Bleachers know by now that Jack Antonoff seems to love this city, so it was only a matter of time for a Philly date got added to the list.

The massive tour, which is being dubbed the Charli and Jack Do America Tour, is coming to our area on September 18th, with a stop at Festival Pier. Festival Pier will be the perfect setting to catch this summer tour, which will come to an end in early October.  They’ll be bringing along Robert DeLong to serve as opener, so you’ll definitely want to get there early for his performance as the “Long Way Down” artist always puts on a great show.

Charli XCX is, of course, riding high off of the success of her summer hits, Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” as well as her own wildly successful track “Boom Clap.” Charli released Sucker, her third album, in December of last year. Bleachers also had a hugely successful 2014 following the release of their debut single, “I Wanna Get Better.” The track proved that Bleachers was much more than a side-project for Jack Antonoff. Their album, Strange Desire, was released in July of 2014. They played an impressive set at last year’s Made in America Festival. And then there’s Robert DeLong, who released his second EP, Long Way Down, in November of last year. With all of that great music, there is no reason not to head to Festival Pier this September for what is sure to be one of the best shows of the summer!
