Becoming engaged this past weekend, Colbie Caillat has more excitement to offer as she will begin touring this summer with Christina Perri and Rachel Platten. Starting music at a young age, Caillat has continued on to writing for artists such as Taylor Swift. Before her music career set off, Caillat was rejected by American Idol twice, performing her original song “Bubbly” in her second audition. This song later became Platinum in the United States and is “one of the best-selling digital tracks in history.” This two-time Grammy winner has sold over 6 million albums worldwide. Caillat’s newest album, Gypsy Heart, reached the top 10 in Billboard’s Top 200 chart. With positive reviews from critics, Caillat brings a down-to-earth stage presence to all of her shows.
In 2010, Christina Perri’s song “Jar Of Hearts” was featured on TV show So You Think You Can Dance. Since then, her career launched as she signed on to Atlantic Records. After the release of Perri’s debut album, Lovestrong, she was later named iTunes’ “Breakthrough Pop Artist of 2011.” Her single, “A Thousand Years,” was later featured in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Perri’s most recent album, Head or Heart, includes artist Ed Sheeran and a theme of self-forgiveness.
Recently signed to Columbia Records, Rachel Platten will play as support to Caillat and Perri. With the success of her single, “Fight Song,” Platten is on the rise with her breakthrough in music. All three of these artists are known for their personal and original song writing, which will be shared on their tour this summer.
