San Francisco natives Third Eye Blind will be performing at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on July 19. The band formed in 1993 and is known for its alternative rock, pop rock and post-grunge styles. The band is on tour to support their upcoming Dopamine, to be released June 16, 2015.
Third Eye Blind currently consists of five members Stephan Jenkins (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Kryz Reid (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Kopp (keyboards, piano), Alex LeCavalier (bass), and Brad Hargreaves (drums). The band’s upcoming album will be the first to feature five members, as keyboard duties on previous albums were split among members. The band’s most famous songs include “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “How’s It Going to Be,” which all reached the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100.
Third Eye Blind has released many award and nomination over the years including Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track (“Semi-Charmed Life”) and three awards (including Best Album, Best Songwriting, and Best Debut Work) at the California Music Awards.
